Terms of Service
Last updated October 25, 2026
Hooks (hooks.video) is run by Future Labs Holdings Inc. ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account, using the site or calling the API, you agree to them. If you use Hooks for a company, you agree for that company too.
1. What Hooks does
You upload a video. We use AI to make new opening seconds ("hooks") in the voice and likeness of the person on camera, then cut each one into the rest of your real video. Results are generated by AI models and can be imperfect. Review every video before you publish it.
2. Consent for faces and voices
You may only upload videos of yourself, or of people who have given you permission to make AI versions of their face and voice and to use them the way you plan to (for example, in paid ads). When a new person is on camera, you confirm that you have that permission. Until you do, you only get watermarked previews.
Get that permission in writing and keep it. We may ask you to show it. If someone tells us they didn't agree, we may remove the videos, pause your account and share the consent record you gave us with them.
A simple written release should name the person, say they allow you to create and publish AI-generated versions of their face and voice in ads and social content, name your brand, and carry their signature and date. If you need ours, email us and we'll send it.
3. What you can't do
- Upload anyone under 18.
- Make videos of a real person without their permission, including celebrities and public figures.
- Make a person appear to endorse something they don't, or say something they would reasonably object to.
- Make sexual content, political ads, content that harasses or threatens anyone, or content meant to deceive people about who is speaking.
- Break the law, ad platform rules, or other people's rights, including copyright and publicity rights.
- Get around limits, share accounts to avoid paying, or try to break or overload the service.
We may refuse a video, stop a pack or close an account that breaks these rules. Our AI providers also apply their own safety filters, and some videos can't be made.
4. Publishing and disclosure
You decide where your videos run, and you are responsible for following the rules there. That includes advertising law (such as truthful claims and endorsement rules) and any platform or legal requirement to label AI-generated content.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the videos you upload and, as far as the law allows, of the videos we make for you. You give us permission to store, process and send them to our providers only to run the service for you. We don't sell your videos and we don't use them to train AI models. Delete your account and we delete your uploads and results.
6. Prices, credits and payments
- We show the price before you start a pack. Your first pack is charged through Stripe Checkout. After that, packs are paid from prepaid credits in US dollars.
- When a pack starts, we take the price of its hooks from your balance. If we can't make a hook, its price goes back to your balance. You only pay for hooks we deliver.
- Credits don't expire. They aren't refundable or exchangeable for cash, except where the law requires it or if we shut Hooks down, in which case we refund your unused paid balance. Bonus credits have no cash value.
- Auto top-up is off unless you turn it on. When it's on and your balance is too low to start a pack, we charge your saved card the amount you picked. You can turn it off any time in Credits.
- We may change prices. Credits you already bought keep their dollar value.
- If a payment is reversed or disputed, we may pause your account and remove credits that came from it.
7. Accounts and API keys
You must be 18 or older. Keep your password and API keys private. You are responsible for everything done with them, including spending by an AI agent you connect.
8. Ending things
You can delete your account any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Sections 2, 3, 5 (ownership), 9, 10 and 11 still apply afterwards.
9. No warranty
Hooks is provided "as is". We don't promise it will always be available, error free, or that any hook will improve your results.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost profit damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is more. You agree to cover our costs if a claim against us comes from a video you uploaded or published, or from permission you said you had.
11. Law and changes
California law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts in Los Angeles County, California. We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Using Hooks after that means you accept the new terms.
